Team Manitoba, with PEI native Chris Gallant, win CIS-CCA men’s curling title

The University of Manitoba Bisons team, which  is skipped by Matt Dunstone, and includes PEI native Chris Gallant at lead, won the CIS-CCA men’s title this evening, stealing two points in an extra end for a 7-5 win over the Univ. of Alberta Golden Bears, skipped by Brendan Bottcher.

The Carleton University Ravens won the women’s event, with a  9-4 victory in nine ends over the University of Alberta Pandas.

The winning teams will be invited by the Canadian Curling Association to represent Canada at the FISU 2015 Winter Universiade in Granada, Spain, Feb. 4-14.
