(by Jason Simmonds)

MOOSE JAW, Sask. – P.E.I.’s Suzanne Birt rink is back to the .500 mark.

Susan McInnis, lead for the Suzanne Birt rink, makes a shot while third stone Shelly Bradley is ready to sweep. The action took place during the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts provincial women’s curling championship in Summerside last month.

Birt, third stone Shelly Bradley, second stone Michelle McQuaid and lead Susan McInnis edged Nova Scotia’s Mary-Anne Arsenault 6-5 on Tuesday afternoon to even their record at 3-3 (won-lost) in the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts national women’s curling championship.

The Birt team, which curls out of the Charlottetown Curling Complex, plays Quebec’s Lauren Mann and Team Canada’s Rachel Homan on Wednesday.
