Teams skipped by Kim Dolan and Suzanne Birt meet in today’s P.E.I. Scotties Tournament of Hearts final at 10 a.m. at the Montague Curling Rink.

Skip Kim Dolan, right, releases a shot as second Sinead Dolan prepares to sweep Sunday during the P.E.I. Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montague.

The Charlottetown Curling Complex rinks met in the A and B final of the modified triple-knockout championship with Birt winning 8-5 and 10-4. Lisa Jackson handed the Birt team their first loss (8-5) in the C semifinal Sunday afternoon and Dolan defeated Jackson 7-5 in Sunday night’s C final.

“I think they’re a great team and I think I have a great team,” Dolan said Sunday night. “Two teams are going to mix it up for the third time and we’ll see what happens.”

Skip Suzanne Birt delivers a stone while Marie Christianson, left, and Meaghan Hughes prepare to sweep Sunday in Montague.

If Birt’s team wins the 10 a.m. draw they will be declared champions, while a loss would force a 3 p.m. winner-take-all contest.

“It’s basically one game at a time and one end at a time,” Dolan said. “You have to play right in the moment.”
