The PEI Senior Curling Championships, for curlers in the 50+ age category, was played this past weekend at the Crapaud Community Curling Club with 2 women’s teams and 6 men’s teams competing.
Shelly Bradley, with her team of Susan McInnis, Tricia MacGregor and Julie Scales, from the Cornwall Curling Club, will be heading to their third Canadian Senior Curling Championship, this time in Moncton from December 2-7, 2024, after winning the best of five series against Montague’s Darlene London rink in three games straight. Darlene teammates include Gail Greene, Shelley Rice and Bev Harding.
Eddie MacKenzie who joined the defending men’s championship team of Kevin Champion, Sean Ledgerwood, Mike Dillon and Phil Gorveatt, from the Cornwall Curling Club won his first PEI Senior Men’s championship, defeating Blair Weeks and his team from the Montague Curling Club, in the first of two possible playoff games. Blair’s team includes Phillip McInnis, John Mullin and Paul Morrison.
