1st place Sask. hand Clarey rink their first loss at The Dominion

Ontario and Saskatchewan men are 4-0 after Wednesday play at The Dominion Curling Club Championship in Richmond BC. Five teams have only one loss, including Montague PEI’s Donald Clarey foursome (2-1), who lost 7-2 to Saskatchewan in the late draw. In the afternoon, PEI scored a deuce in the final end of a low-scoring game to edge the Nunavut team 4-3.

On the women’s side, Cornwall’s Lorianne Davies team are 1-2 after Wednesday play, winning  their morning game 9-3 over Nunavut, but losing their afternoon contest against Saskatchewan by an 11-3 score. Ontario and Manitoba are on-top in the women’s section, at 4-0.

Play continues today, with the Island rinks taking on Nova Scotia and Ontario.
