This is a final reminder that entries for the PEI Masters Curling Championships, for curlers age 60 and over, are due today. Five men’s and four women’s teams have signed up as of now. Entry fee is $50 per player. Enter online at peicurling.com/masters. The PEI Masters takes place from January 23-26 2012 at O’Leary’s Maple Leaf Curling Club. Defending champions the Carol Sweetapple rink from the Cornwall Curling Club, and the Mel Bernard foursome from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside will both be back to defend their titles.
Winners and runners-up earn the right to compete in the Maritime Masters Championships, February 12-19, in New Glasgow NS. Winners may also participate in the Canadian Masters, March 26 to April 1 in Montreal.
