The PEI Curling Association is pleased to announce that Marco Polo Land Inn, Resort and Campground in Cavendish is the new sponsor of the provincial Masters Curling Championships, for curlers age 60 and over.  This season’s Marco Polo Land Masters will be held at the Charlottetown Curling Club from January 24-27,  2011.  Entries in both men’s and women’s divisions close on December 27, 2010. Entry fee is $40 per player. All entries must be made online at PEICurling.com.

Defending champions are the Carol Sweetapple rink from the Cornwall Curling Club, and the Clair Sweet foursome from O’Leary’s Maple Leaf club.

Winners and runners-up earn the right to compete in the Maritime Masters Championships, February 14-19, also at the Charlottetown Curling Club. Winners may also participate in the Canadian Masters, March 30 to April 5 at the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club in Winnipeg.
