The following PEI curling championship deadlines are being extended:
Junior Mixed – new deadline Feb. 25, 2013.
The Provincial Junior Mixed Curling Championships, for teams of two male and two female curlers, with both Under 21 and Under 16 divisions, take place March 15 to 18 at the Charlottetown Curling Complex. The event welcomes new sponsor Advantage Communications. Entries to-date may be viewed at peicurling.com/juniormixed
Entry fee is $140/team. Entries must be made online at PEICurling.com. Be sure to select the appropriate event and division.
The Dominion – new deadline is Feb. 20, 2013.
Please note tthat all clubs wanting to participate in the Dominion Curling Club Championship must have an entry in by Wednesday (TBA can be listed instead of names). Payment for the teams is due on Friday, Feb. 22. Entries to-date may be viewed at peicurling.com/thedominion
The Western Community Curling Club in Alberton is the host for the 2013 PEI The Dominion Curling Club Championship, open to PEI curling club teams who win their respective men’s or women’s The Dominion club playdowns. Defending PEI champs are the team of Alan Inman, Steven Thomson, Gordon Fall and Tony Quigley from the Crapaud Community Curling Club, and Nola Murphy, Donna Arsenault, Paulette Richard, and Elspeth Carmody from the Silver Fox Curling & Yacht Club in Summerside. The winning men’s and women’s rinks from this year’s championships will advance to the national The Dominion Curling Club Championship, November 18-23, 2013 at the Fort William Curling Club in Thunder Bay Ontario.
Entry fee for this year’s provincial championship is $160 per team. Teams who win their club championships must register online at PEICurling.com.
