Final startup Learn to Curl sessions begin Monday at Montague, Maple Leaf

The Montague Curling Rink is holding “Try Curling” sessions Nov. 2nd through Nov. 4th beginning at 6:30 each evening.  All you need to bring are clean shoes, and wear loose or stretchy pants. The the league sign-up sheets will be on the bulletin board. Members are requested to sign-up.

The club has a Getting Started in Curling league on Mondays at 6:30pm, and Fun Team Curling at 8:30 with single entry signup and different teams each night. They have Fun Mixed Tuesday at 6:30, and Competitive (no business leagues) at 8:30. Wednesday is Twoonie Night! @ 6:30pm & 8:30pm – this is also a single entry sign up.  Each member pays $2 and the winning team (on points system) wins a prize. Thursday has  Daytime League @ 10am – Open to anyone, Stick Curling at 1 pm, a Competitive Draw at 6:30pm, and a Business Draw at 8:30. Friday evening fun nights with various themes are planned. Check with the manager, as some Fridays are booked for other activities. Contact the Rink at (902) 838-2513 for more information.

Maple Leaf

The Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary will be opening for the season on Nov. 2, with Open House / Try Curling sessions Nov. 2-5 at 7 pm, held in conjunction with Western Region Sports and Recreation Council, and league play starting the week of Nov. 9.

The curling club features a Friday Lunch Menu that is open to the public, as well as on site catering service for private functions.

Crapaud

Regular Season Curling begins on November 9th at the Crapaud Community Curling Club. If you sign up before November 8th, you will receive a 10% discount. 

There will be Chase the Ace held every Friday night at the Crapaud Curling Club from 7:30-9:00 pm starting this Friday November 6th. This is to support the Crapaud Community Curling Club, South Shore Actiplex, Crapaud Community Hall, and the Crapaud Fire Department. Cost is $5.00.

Sunday Night Cash League begins on November 15. $40 a team and $60 payout for a win. Game time is 7 pm and it is open to any teams on the Island. There is no commitment to play every week just let the club know you will be coming by Saturday night so they can schedule who plays who. Website: crapaudcurlingclub.com
