Senior curling ch’ships start Friday (Journal)

O’LEARY — West Prince men’s teams have drawn a first-round bye in the P.E.I. Credit Union Senior Curling championships which open Friday afternoon at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary.
There are six men’s teams and four women’s teams vying for the right to represent P.E.I. in the 2016 Everest Canadian Senior Curling Championships March 28 to April 2 in Digby, NS.

Action starts Friday at 2 p.m. with two men’s games and two women’s games.

The Women’s “A” Qualifier and the men’s “A” semi-finals of the modified triple knock-out championships are set for 6 p.m. on Friday. The Men’s “A” qualifier is set for 10 a.m. Saturday.
