PEI’s Adam Casey makes the Page A vs B playoff game at the Sask. Tankard

Seven Mile Bay native and Winsloe resident Adam Casey has made it to the Page playoff round at the Saskatchewan Tankard provincial men’s championship in Tisdale SK. The Casey rink, which includes third Catlin Schneider, second stone Shaun Meachem and lead Dustin Kidby, scored six points in the seventh end  as they downed the Kody Hartung rink 11-3 this morning in the “B” final, to advance to the 9 pm Page A vs B game against defending champion and A section winner Steve Laycock. Casey lost the “A” final to Laycock, 6-5 in an extra end, on Friday.

The winner of the Page A vs B match goes directly to the final, while the loser will have a second chance to earn a championship berth, facing the winner of another 9 pm game, between the two “C” qualifiers, at 11:30 am Sunday, with that winner taking on Laycock in the 4:30 pm Sunday championship final.
