The Sydney Howatt/Nick Johnston duo from Cornwall who won the “A” final on Friday, edged the Louise Carota/Phillip McInnis twosome from the host Charlottetown Curling Complex 7-6, while the Calvin Smith/Lauren Ferguson team from Crapaud, who won the “B” final earlier this afternoon, won their “C” semi 5-3 over the Noah and Rachel O’Connor siblings.

After the “C” final, the same two teams will advance to the two-game championship round, at 12:45 and 4 pm. The winner of the “C” final will have an advantage in that round. As the winner of two sections, they will have a “double life” and will win the title if they take either game, while their opponent would have to win both.

Eight teams took part in this provincial championship for the Olympic sport of Mixed Doubles, for 2-person teams of one male and one female. The winning team advances to the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship from March 29 to April 1 in Leduc Alberta.
