Ted MacFadyen downed former teammate Mel Bernard 8-1 Sunday in the final of the Silver Fox Senior Men’s cash bonspiel. MacFadyen stole points early, taking one in the first end, four in the second and another two in the third. Bernard finally posted a point in the fourth end, but MacFadyen answered with one in the fifth and Bernard conceded.

In semi-final action, MacFadyen advanced to the final by narrowly edging previously undefeated Peter MacDonald. Bernard defeated Lou Nowlan in the other semi-final game.
Ted MacFadyen’s foursome includes Craig Mackie, David MacFadyen and Mike Coady. Playing for Mel Bernard are Blair Jay, Doug Simmons and Earl Proude.

MacFadyen’s team took home $550.
