Prince Edward Island’s win at the Canadian junior men’s curling championships in British Columbia Sunday is drawing much praise and elation from fans here at home.
The men’s team, skipped by Brett Gallant of Charlottetown, won the men’s final of the Canadian juniors on Sunday in Salmon Arm, B.C., edging Northern Ontario, 7-6.
What you need to know
— The four members of Brett Gallant’s team are scheduled to arrive at the Charlottetown airport at 12:50 p.m. today.
— Islanders are encouraged to welcome them either at the airport or at the Charlottetown Curling Club’s reception tonight at 6 p.m.
