News from the Charlottetown Curling Club

RENEWED CLUB WEBSITE

Renovations at the club have caused a disruption in our communications
and we are taking the opportunity to make a few changes.

A new website is being designed and will be up within the week. Please
be patient as we get everything up and running.

CLUB BLOG

We are also starting a blog to update you regularly with news bits and
things that are changing at the Club.

You can find the blog at http://charlottetowncurling.blogspot.com.

Please bookmark this site or sign up as someone who follows the blog
and you’ll receive updates as we add news.

You can see pictures of some of the renovations by going on the link
above (also shown here).

JET ICE

This year we will be using the Jet Ice system to purify the water we
use to make the ice and pebble. This change will enable us to make ice
in less time at the beginning of the year and will improve playing
conditions.

Ice making starts Thursday September 24th and we should be ready to
curl on October 6th.

GOLF & CURLING OPENER

We will be hosting a golf and curling event to welcome everyone back.
We will be travelling by coach on the morning of October 17th to play
9 holes at Belfast Highlands. We’ll return for a meal and 6 ends of
curling. The price is $40 per person and anyone interested should
contact the club by telephone at 892-7467.

REGISTRATION

Junior registration is scheduled for Thursday October 1st and Friday
October 2nd from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Adults and students may register for
any of our regular leagues by signing up at the club any evening after
October 1st.
