Clubs to offer curling info and instruction (updated)

PEI’s curling clubs are starting up for the season, and will be offering free adult curling information and  instruction in the near future.

The Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside will hold a curling information night on  Tuesday, Oct. 13 at 6:30pm.  Experienced curlers will be on hand to give a brief overview of what being a curling club member is all about. Refreshments will be served. Participants can enter their name for a chance to win dinner for two.  As well,  curling instruction clinics are scheduled for October 20-22 from 6-9 pm.

The Charlottetown Curling Club will be offering free curling clinics from Tuesday Oct. 13 through Thursday the 15th from 6-8 pm, while the Cornwall Curling Club will hold “introduction to curling”  lessons, with a video, and an opportunity to throw some curling stones, from 7-9 pm on Oct. 19 through 21.

The Montague Curling Club will be offering instruction Monday October 26 to Friday October 30, starting at 6.30 P.M.

All these events are free of charge, with no obligation.  Please contact the respective curling clubs for more info, or to inquire about junior curling.

Meanwhile, the Crapaud Community Curling Club will begin its season on Hallowe’en weekend.  Contact the Club at 658-2789  to arrange for curling lessons, or to sign up for curling.
