SUMMERSIDE — An important weekend of curling is on tap at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club.

The Summerside Superstore/Labatt’s/Journal Pioneer cashspiel, which is an Atlantic Curling Tour event, begins today at 12:30 p.m., and concludes with the championship game Sunday at 3 p.m.

A total of 20 teams are entered.

“It should be some really good curling,” said tournament chairman Rod MacDonald, who will also skip his own rink in the event that will feature a total of $5,200 in cash prizes.
