Cheryl Bernard Olympic rink has Island rooting section (Journal)

SUMMERSIDE – A proud Island contingent will cheer on curler Cheryl Bernard as she goes against the world’s best skips for a chance at Olympic gold.
The Alberta-born curler, skip of the Canadian women’s team, has strong ties to East Prince. Her father, Thayne, was born in Freetown and several aunts, uncles and cousins live in the area.
