SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. – It was a case of missed opportunities for P.E.I. at
the 2010 Scotties Tournament of Hearts on Friday night.
The Charlottetown Curling Club rink of Kathy O’Rourke, who calls the game
and throws second stones; Erin Carmody, who handles skip rocks; Geri-Lynn
Ramsay, who makes third-stone shots, and lead Tricia Affleck lost the
1-vs.-2 Page playoff game to Team Canada’s Jennifer Jones. The final score
was 8-5.
“It was a just tough one,” said Carmody. “The girls curled very well and I
just struggled a little bit out there, and seemed to be on the wrong side of
everything.
