Curling club facing tough times

Only a few years ago O’Leary’s Maple Leaf Curling Club boasted a membership in excess of one hundred.
Newly elected president Glen Betts, a member for close to 10 years, says that number has since slipped to between 40 and 50.
That’s why supporters are hoping a dinner on May 8, themed around the Maple Leaf Club’s 30th anniversary, will help provide a welcome boost to the curling club’s sagging bottom line.
