Martin beats China to stay perfect at 9-0 (CTV)

By Bob Weeks, CTVOlympics.ca

Kevin Martin wanted to go into the playoffs on a roll and he accomplished that by driving a steamroller over the Chinese team Tuesday in his final round robin contest.

The game meant nothing to the Canadian rink of Martin, John Morris, Marc Kennedy and Ben Hebert, which had already locked up top spot in the round robin.

It seemed as if the only goal was to score as many points as early as possible so the hapless Chinese would concede as soon after the mandatory six ends, perhaps allowing the Canadian boys to catch the men’s hockey game.
