Sweet, Duffenais representing PEI at Canadian Masters, starting Monday in Saint John

Canadian Masters

Play at the Canadian Masters Curling Championships, for curlers age 60 and over, gets underway Monday March 29, and wraps up on Friday April 2 at the Thistle St. Andrews Curling Club in Saint John NB. PEI will be represented by this year’s PEI Masters Men’s champions, the Clair Sweet rink from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary, along with last year’s women’s champs, the Jeanne Duffenais foursome from the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside. Teams will play a two pool round robin format, with a Page championship round. There are some well-known names in this event, including Sue Anne Bartlett from Nova Scotia, Ron Wescott from Manitoba, and 2008 Canadian Seniors champ Eugene Hritzuk from Saskatchewan.
