The Island squad, which includes third Leo Stewart, second Dwayne MacNeil, and lead Jim Arsenault lost their Saturday opener 6-5 to Nova Scotia. They face Northern Ontario (2-1) and the defending champion Jeff Gartner rink (2-1) from the host Regina Fire Department on Monday. Gartner lost to Manitoba 8-3 on Sunday. Alberta and BC share the lead with 3-0 records. Play continues through Saturday.
