SUMMERSIDE – Sheila Compton of Summerside is about to experience the highlight of her curling career in Scotland.

Compton, who has curled for approximately 30 years, is the lone Prince Edward Islander participating in the Scottish Ladies Friendship Tour that runs from Nov. 6 to 26.

Compton and the other 23 participants from across Canada, which includes representatives from each province except Quebec, leave Thursday, and will arrive in Glasgow on Friday. Their first curling action is scheduled in Stirling the following day.
