Atlantic Curling Tour Ch’ship starts Saturday in Moncton, includes 4 PEI rinks

PEI’s Robert Campbell rink, the top moneymakers on the Atlantic Curling Tour this season, with $8700 in earnings, will be joined by 3 other PEI teams, skipped by Eddie MacKenzie, Kevin Champion, and Rod MacDonald, at the Atlantic Curling Tour Championship, which gets underway Saturday at Moncton’s Curling Beausejour. Over $10,000 in prize money is on the line in the event, which also includes defending champion Jamie Murphy of Nova Scotia, and other Bluenosers  Chad Steeves, Mark Kehoe, Ian Fitzner-LeBlanc, Shawn Adams, Glen MacLeod, Jamie Christianson and Ken Myers. New Brunswick rinks include Marcel Robichaud and Terry Odishaw, both from Curling Beausejour, and Rick Perron from the Beaver club, also in Moncton.

Each of the four divisions in the event will play a round robin, with  the top two teams in each division advancing to a single-knockout playoff round.Play gets underway Saturday at 6 pm, and wraps up Monday afternoon.
