Many of PEI’s women’s curling champions, past and present, were on hand at a Scotties reception today, in celebration of 30 years of Scott/Scotties provincial and national sponsorship of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Canadian women’s curling championship.

After the reception, they posed for a photo, on the steps at the Red Shores Racetrack and Casino in the Charlottetown Civic Centre complex, the venue for the 2011 national Scotties Tournament of Hearts, February 19-27. This year’s provincial championship begins next Thursday evening at the Cornwall Curling Club, with six teams taking part, including the defending champion Kathy O’Rourke rink.
