Prince Edward Island’s top women’s curling rinks are ready to decide the province’s representative at the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Charlottetown from Feb. 19 to 27.

The P.E.I. women’s championship begins today at the Cornwall Curling Club at 6 p.m., with draws Friday at 11 a.m., 4 and 7 p.m.

There are two draws on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 1:30 and 6:30 p.m.

All eyes will be on Charlottetown’s Kathy O’Rourke rink, last year’s national runner-up.

O’Rourke said the pressure is on the team to match that performance.
