Two PEI Curling Ch’ships on snow watch as winter storm moves in

Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning, with snow beginning around midnight, and snowfall amounts of 25 cm and near-zero visibility in blowing snow expected on Sunday.

The Labatt Tankard at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside has proactively delayed their  Sunday morning draw from 9 to 10 am. The other draws are still scheduled for 2 and 7 pm.

The Sylvan Learning 17 and Under Championship at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary has not yet delayed any draws, but will send out an announcement on PEICurling.com and local radio stations Sunday morning in the event of postponements or cancellations, as will the Tankard in the event of further changes.
