Larouche is in – Scotties field is complete (TSN)

The field for the 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was completed Sunday when Marie-France Larouche won the Quebec women’s curling championship.

Larouche edged Chantal Osborne 8-7 in the provincial final at the Buckingham Curling Club and will represent her province at the 12-team Canadian women’s curling championship Feb. 19-27 in Charlottetown.

B.C.’s Kelly Scott, Alberta’s Shannon Kleibrink, Saskatchewan’s Amber Holland, Manitoba’s Cathy-Overton Clapham, Ontario’s Rachel Homan, Nova Scotia’s Heather Smith-Dacey, New Brunswick’s Andrea Kelley, Kerry Galusha of Northwest Territories and Yukon, Stacie Devereaux of Newfoundland and Labrador, P.E.I.’s Suzanne Birt and defending champion Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg are also in the field.

The winner represents Canada at the Capital One World Women’s Curling Championship from March 18 to 27 in Esbjerg, Denmark.

Jones won the last three Canadian championships with Overton-Clapham at third before Jones replaced her with Kaitlyn Lawes last year. They also won the Scotties in 2005. Scott won back-to-back national titles in 2006 and 2007. Kleibrink won an Olympic bronze medal in 2006.
