PEI beats Team Canada 8-6 tonight at Scotties (Guardian blog)

Jennifer Jones elected not to throw her final rock, as she didn’t believe she had any way to pull out the game, as she lost 8-6 to Suzanne Birt and Team PEI tonight before a huge crowd at the Charlottetown Civic Centre. A four point seventh end for PEI put the crowd in a frenzy. PEI then stole two in the eighth when Jones flashed on a double takeout attempt, to lead 8-3 after eight. Jones came back with three in nine, leaving PEI up two with hammer coming home.
