Smith-Dacey rides fast start to 9-8 thriller; advances to Page Playoff vs Ontario

Nova Scotia’s Heather Smith-Dacey won Friday’s tiebreaker at the Tournament of Hearts with a 9-8 win over B.C.’s Kelly Scott.

With the victory, Nova Scotia clinched the fourth and final playoff berth at the Canadian women’s curling championship at Charlottetown.

The Halifax team will face Ontario’s Rachel Homan in the Page playoff between the third and fourth seeds on Saturday. Scott, a former two-time Canadian champion, was eliminated.
