PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink are off to a flying start at the Southwestern Ontario Charity Cashspiel in London Ontario, winning 8-6 over the Marika Bakewell of London this morning, and scoring four points in the 4th in in a 6-2 victory over Toronto’s Julie Reddick team this afternoon.

Birt, who won the event back in 2003, and this season’s team of Shelly Bradley, Robyn MacPhee, and Leslie MacDougall, will face Scotland’s Sarah Reid rink Saturday evening at 7 Eastern, with the winner advancing to the quarter-final round, Sunday at 7 pm Eastern.
