The lines and other final touches were put on the ice yesterday at the Montague Curling Club, which means the first rocks will be thrown later this week. The circles are painted in the blue, white and gray of The Dominion insurance company, sponsors of The Dominion provincial club curling championship, which they will be hosting in March. The Montague team of Donald Clarey, Larry Richards,  David Rice, and Steven MacLeod, along with the Lorianne Davies, Melody Beck, Tracy MacDonald, and Lynda Turnbull foursome from Cornwall, will be competing in this year’s national The Dominion, November 21-26 in Richmond BC.

The Montague Curling Club are holding a Registration Night and Barbecue Social on Thursday, October 20 from 6:30pm – 9:30pm. The evening includes free food from the BBQ, munchies, and an opportunity to register for the season.

Also, the club are hosting the second annual Gahan Brewery Cashspiel Atlantic Curling Tour event Oct. 28-30, with 16 teams taking part.
