PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink are still in the playoff hunt at the Sun Life Classic in Brantford Ontario. After play Saturday, they sat at 2-2, recording wins over Marie-France Larouche of Quebec, and Robyn Silvernagell of Saskatchewan. The Birt foursome then beat the American Cassie Potter team 7-2 this morning, and now advance to a C qualifier match at 4:30 AT. Already qualified in the A section are Scotland’s Eve Muirhead, and Ontario’s Sherry Middaugh. Men’s section “A” qualifiers so far are Sven Michel of Switzerland, and Rasmus Stjerne of Norway.
