Despite going 5-0 in the round robin, PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink lost this afternoon’s final at the Molson Canadian Hub City Shootout cashspiel in Moncton, 8-3 to Sandy Comeau of Moncton. In the men’s division, the remaining PEI rink, skipped by Robert Shaw, lost 7-1 to Marc Lecocq of New Brunswick in the semi-final round. The 3:30 all-New Brunswick men’s final will see Lecocq take on Jeremy  Mallais, who beat John Luckhurst of Nova Scotia 9-2 in the semis.
