PEI’s Suzanne Birt rink are playing in the consolation final, for third and fourth place teams, after losing to 11-4 to Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg in the semis this morning at the International Bernese Ladies Cup in Bern Switzerland. In the quarter-final round earlier this morning, the Birt squad beat Regina’s Jan Betker rink 8-5, while Jones downed Cathy Overton-Clapham, also from Winnipeg, 8-2.

The final will see Jones face Bern’s Michelle Jaeggi rink, while Birt takes on another Bernese team, skipped by Silvan Tirinzoni .
