Bob Bentley

 Bob Bentley

Hunter River’s Bob Bentley has overseen the tremendous growth of Biathlon, resurrecting a sport that was non- existent in 2004 to a point where it is thriving, with great results at Canada Games and athletes in the national program. The association president, as well as coach, chief organizer and official, Bentley’s love of the sport is clear to all.His non- stop efforts have seen a considerable rise inBob Bentley athletes at all levels from beginner to competitive, an increase in the number of coaches, and the hosting of key events on the Atlantic Cup circuit.
A real enthusiast, Bentley is the driving force behind a sport which is definitely on the up, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed at the national level where he was recognized with the builder of the year award in 2009.His efforts also resulted in PEI being awarded the Eastern Canadian championships last month at Brookvale.

Kim Dolan

Kim Dolan

The 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts was a great success and much of the credit belongs to one of the most recognizable faces in Island curling, Kim Dolan. Dolan’s incredible energy and enthusiasm as local chair of the event was unmatched, whether she was recruiting committee members and volunteers — of which more than 500 were needed — to securing funding and sponsorships from all levels of government and the private sector. Hands-on and willing to do whatever job needed, her efforts ensured a successful and well-run event, and coupled with her own outstanding playing career, she has, for many years, been a fine ambassador for curling on PEI.
Jamie Mutch

Jamie Mutch

Outstanding effort certainly sums up Charlottetown’s Jamie Mutch, who is the driving force behind all the Roadrunners PEI. activities in the province.Whether it is organizing memberships, acting as treasurer, compiling the results, recruiting new members or arranging the awards banquet, his love of the Roadrunners association ensures every race is efficient and well organized. He also maintains the association website, which is a great source of information not only on upcoming events but tracking the association’s race history. Race registration is one of Mutch’s ’ s big roles, and it is not uncommon to see him register the usual late comers, lace on his sneakers before the gun goes off, run a fast time and be back to continue his administrative duties before the race is through.
