Northern Ontario edged Southern Ontario 5-4 this morning in the Page 1 vs 2 game to advance directly to the 1 pm Saturday final of the Canadian Firefighters Curling Championship in Truro. They’ll be playing the winner of the 9 am Saturday semi-final between Southern Ontario and Manitoba, who advanced with an 8-6 win over Alberta in the Page 3 vs 4 game this morning.

PEI’s Gordon MacFadyen rink ended play Thursday with a 4-6 win-loss record.
