Sask. advances to final at Postal Curling, PEI picks up win in final round robin draw

At the 46th Canadian Postal Employees Curling Classic at the Cloverdale Curling Club in Surrey BC.  PEI, represented again this year by the rink of Bob Cameron (skip), Eldon Kilbride (3rd), Regan Kenny (2nd) and Mike Bernard (lead), ended play on a winning note on Friday, beating Manitoba 10-9 in the final round robin draw, to finish play with a 2-8 win-loss record.

Saskatchewan upset previously-undefeated Alberta 8-7 in the Page 1-2 game, while Northern Ontario eliminated defending champion Brent MacDougall and his Nova Scotia rink by an 11-3 score in the 3-4 game. Northern Ontario takes on Alberta in the semi-final, which gets underway at 9 this morning, with the winner facing Saskatchewan in the 1:30 pm final (all times local-add 4 hours for PEI time).
