Martin, Overton-Clapham still unbeaten at Players’ Championship (Journal)

(by Jason Simmonds) SUMMERSIDE – Kevin Martin is the only remaining undefeated men’s team at the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling Sun Life Players’ Championship.

Martin, who had last-rock advantage, scored three in the fourth end to open the scoring against Brad Gushue en route to a 4-2 win in Thursday’s noon-hour draw.

SUMMERSIDE – Cathy Overton-Clapham scored a single point in the final eighth end to edge Chelsea Carey 4-3 at the Capital One Grand Slam of Curling Sun Life Financial Players’ Championship here Thursday morning.

The win improved Overton-Clapham’s record to 5-0 (won-lost). Carey, who dropped her fourth straight one-point decision, fell to 0-5.
