Brooks Roche, 15, of Lower Montague had a lucrative trip to the Grand Slam of Curling in Summerside this weekend. He won out over 35 competitors in the junior draw to the button contest and earned himself $1,000, a trophy and some new curling gear.
The rest of the curling community in Montague has good reason to celebrate Brooks’ achievement, since his winning shot also earned $10,000 for the club.
