(CurlBC) Curling centres can take advantage of a new fund to help them make their facilities more accessible.
Human Resources and Skills Development Canada’s “Enabling Accessibility Fund” supports community-based projects across Canada that improve accessibility, remove barriers and enable Canadians with disabilities to participate in and contribute to their communities.
The “Small Project” component of the fund is now accepting applications, and provides grants of up to $50,000 per project to construct, renovate or retrofit buildings.
The funding can also be used to modify vehicles for community use or enhance information and communication technologies to make them more accessible.
The application deadline is October 5, 2012 at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time.
Full details are available on the website and include the application form and program guidelines. Applicants are encouraged to read the guidelines before completing the application.
