Twenty-four men’s teams, including defending champion John Epping and his team, are competing in the $40,700 Shorty Jenkins Classic in Brockville, Ontario this weekend.
Big names in the men’s event include Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue, whose team includes PEI natives Adam Casey and Brett Gallant, along with teams skipped by Kevin Koe and Jeff Stoughton. Also looking for their share of the cash are China’s Team Liu, defending US champion Heath McCormick and the recent winner of the Baden Masters, Sven Michel of Switzerland.
The 12 team women’s side of the event includes Sherry Middaugh, Rachel Homan, Marie France Larouche, and Scotland’s Eve Muirhead.
Competition starts at 5 Atlantic this afternoon, and concludes with the final Sunday afternoon at 4:30 AT.
