The two teams from PEI, skipped by siblings Matthew and Amanda MacLean from the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O’Leary, have both finished triple-knockout play at the 2012 JSI – OVCA Junior SuperSpiel in the Ottawa area, with 1-3 win-loss records, out of contention for the $3,000 top prize. Both rinks are now in the consolation round, at 9 am – with Matthew playing Felix Asselin, and Amanda facing Ben Miskew (men’s and women’s teams are combined in the consolation event). Top prize in the consolation round is $600. The event semi-finals go today at noon, with the finals at 4:00pm ET.
