ALBERTON — As far as Cletus Dunn is concerned, there is only one way to go in hosting the National Legion Curling Championship.
“It will be the best one ever,” said Dunn, co-chair of the host committee for the March 16 to 20 championship in Alberton. The round robin schedule will be played at the Western Community Curling Club in Alberton and most of the off-ice activities will take place at St. Anthony’s Legion in Bloomfield. In its 55-year history, this will be the first time for the national championship to be played in West Prince. It was held in Summerside a few years ago.
“Participants will have the time of their lives,” Dunn vowed. “It will be like the Brier at the legion level.”
