Bob Cameron rink to again represent PEI at Postal Curling Ch’ship, starting Sunday in Halifax

The 47th Canadian Postal Employees Curling Classic gets underway on Sunday April 14 at the Mayflower Curling Club in Halifaxx.  PEI is represented  for the third consecutive year by the rink of Bob Cameron (skip), Eldon Kilbride (3rd), Mike Bernard (second), and Regan Kenny (lead).

Last year’s champions, the Maurel Erick team from Saskatchewan, are back this year looking to to defend their title. In last year’s final, they came from behind, stealing a point in the extra end to beat Northern Ontario for the championship. The Cameron rink finished with a 2-8 win-loss record last year.

Round robin draws go Sunday at 2, with PEI opening against BC, and 6:30 pm, Monday through Thursday at 10 am and 2:30 pm, and wrap up Friday at 10 am. Tiebreakers, if needed, go at 2:30 pm Friday, with Page playoffs (1st vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th) at 7 pm. The semi-final ((loser of the 1 vs 2 vs winner of the 3 vs 4) goes Saturday April 20 at 10 am, with the final (winner 1 vs 2 vs winner semi) at 2 pm.
