(by Mike Johnston) Popular curler John Morris will be leaving Kevin Martin’s team after nearly eight years, Sportsnet has learned. An official announcement could come as early as Wednesday night.
Morris’ departure comes at a surprising time, with the Olympic Trials just eight months away — this December in his hometown of Winnipeg.

Martin’s team, which Morris first joined in 2006, had a disappointing outing this past weekend at the Grand Slam of Curling Players’ Championship, finishing 2-2 and losing in a tiebreaker to John Epping’s team.Click for full story at Sportsnet
