Gushue drops to sudden-death C flight game at 3 pm Saturday against winner of 10 am Sat. game between Rob Fowler and Jean-Michel Menard. If Gushue wins that game, he advances to a Page qualifier Sunday at 10 am, If he wins that game, he advances to the second qualifier game Sunday at 8 pm. If he wins that game, he is in the Trials.

The Laura Crocker team from Edmonton, which includes PEI native Erin Carmody, lost 7-5 to Tracy Horgan, and is out of the competition.

The Crystal Webster team from Calgary, which includes PEI native Geri-Lynn Ramsay, lost to Cheryl Bernard by a 5-3 score, and has been eliminated from the event.

Val Sweeting eliminates Shannon Kleibrink with an  8-3 win in the Battle of Alberta.
