(City of Summerside) – Full-event passes for the 2014 Players’ Championship Grand Slam of Curling event are now on sale.

The 2014 Grand Slam of Curling Player’s Championship will run from Tuesday April 15^th until Sunday April 20^th in the City of Summerside’s Eastlink Arena at Credit Union Place. The 12 highest-ranked men’s and 12 highest-ranked women’s curling teams from around the world will converge on Summerside for six days of jam-packed curling action. The series is known to be one of the toughest of curling tournaments to win, and with thousands of dollars on the line, the action is sure to be exciting.

“The 2012 Championship was a great all-around experience for us. The event generated about $1.8 million dollars of economic activity for our City, which was a great boost for our business community.  It is certainly an honour to bring back world-class curling to Summerside again in 2014. The Players’ Championship is one of curling’s most sought-after events. Our great facility, volunteers, sponsors and fans are all going to be vital to us hosting the event again in 2014.”  said Summerside Mayor Basil Stewart.
