Gushue rink advances to semi-finals at Red Square Curling Classic in Moscow

They’re having some trouble adjusting to the natural ice, installed in Moscow’s Red Square for the “Red Square Curling Classic”, but the Brad Gushue rink, which includes PEI natives Brett Gallant and Adam Casey, has made it into tomorrow’s semi-finals.

The event includes 8 teams, in two pools of four, with the top two of each pool advancing to the semis.Games in the cold temperatures are only 4 ends, with extra ends if needed. Gushue finished the round robin with a 2-1 record, and play Team Russia, Moscow, Kirikov at noon local time (4 am AT) on the 22nd in the semis. The other semi sees Team Russia, Adamant club, Tselousov take on the Peter DeCruz rink from Switzerland.
